Leakage, damage to instrumentation, instability and noise are often caused by high frequency ripple generated by a hydraulic pump; an attenuator, placed close to the pump will significantly reduce this ripple. The Fawcett Christie Noise Attenuator is essentially a “low pass filter” or volume resonator which attenuates transmitted frequencies over a wide band. Fawcett Christie Attenuators are manufactured from forged steel with an interconnected inner chamber. Additional sound absorption is achieved if the attenuator is fitted with a flexible hose on both or either side. |
